Free Smoke Detector Program

The Stillwater Fire Department (SFD) offers free smoke detectors for homeowners that need detectors for their primary residence. This program is intended for residential property owners in Stillwater city limits.

Landlords are required to install smoke detectors in accordance with the nationally recognized codes and don’t qualify for this program. For more information, see What are Your Rights as a Landlord (PDF).
